The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has announced the host and performers for the 22nd annual ASCAP Latin Music Awards, taking place on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 at the Hammerstein Ballroom of the Manhattan Center In New York City. The black tie gala will honor the songwriters and publishers of ASCAP's most performed songs in Latin music of 2013 and will present the Voice of Music Award to Daddy Yankee and the Latin Heritage Award to Fania All-Stars.
The evening, hosted by television personality Odalys Molina, will feature performances by some of Latin music's hottest stars, including: Brika, Descemer Bueno, Hermanos Villalobos, Isidro Infante, Ismael Miranda, Johnny Pacheco, Julio Reyes, Kany Garcia, Larry Harlow, Lena, Lundon Knight, Roberto Roena, Ruben Blades and Victor Manuelle. Alex y Fido, Joan Sebastian and Tr3bal are some of the many of the music stars that are scheduled to attend.
In addition, awards will be presented to the Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year, Independent Publisher of the Year and Latin Song of the Year. The Pop, Tropical, Regional Mexican, Urban and Television categories will also be recognized at what is one of the most attended and celebrated events in the Latin entertainment community.
